The Upgrade

After consultation did change to Windows 10
Complied as instructed the upgrade to begin
Patiently I’d have to wait the programme to install
Unfortunately did not foresee the problems to befall.

For Google Chrome and Firefox no server could be found
Thoughts completely justified the programme being unsound
My life now in a turmoil no e-mail out or in
Patience with the company now was wearing thin.

Could not order things on line, card games could not play
The weather forecast could not source, songs could not
convey
Bulletins of news and sport I had to do without
The wisdom of my judgement now seriously in doubt.

Could not access motor sales nor ancestors could find
Properties and land for sale my knowledge soon declined
History and world events and news reels from the past
The situation now was dire depression and downcast.

In desperation phone BT put through to Bangalore
Explained to them my grievance the service did deplore
Requested their assistance broadband to restore
After many failed attempts said they could do no more.

Suggested I engage a team computer skills at hand
Even mentioned P C World well known throughout the land
But not for me a ‘Multi’ a number just you are
A local lad with software skills surely best by far.

Made contact with the local lad explained to him my plight
Had faith in his ability to get things working right
He listened to my story said he would do his best
To get things operational his skills he’d put to test.

His smart phone he consulted the mouse at his command
Could clearly see his expertise why always in demand
Configurated programmes broadband to restore
Speed now back to normal I could not ask for more.

So now my friends be wary if changed to Windows 10
Perhaps like me initially the programme you’ll condemn
Require professional input completely unaware
I’ll always be indebted to our local engineer.
